Ms. Amy M. Pokora is a founding member of Lewis and Pokora.
Ms. Pokora received her Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, where she graduated magna cum laude. While obtaining her undergraduate degrees, Ms. Pokora was a member of the Arizona State Division I competitive swim team. Ms. Pokora subsequently received her law degree and MBA from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and Business in her hometown of Minneapolis, MN.
While achieving her dual graduate degrees, Ms. Pokora gained legal experience working as a law clerk for a personal injury law firm in Minnesota where she assisted in arbitration and litigation preparation. Aside from her law office experience, Ms. Pokora was an associate editor for her law school’s Journal of Law and Public Policy and was the membership coordinator of the Minnesota Justice Foundation, coordinating various legal volunteer opportunities for students.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Pokora was the victim of a sports utility vehicle roll-over accident, as a result of someone else’s negligence, in which she was introduced to the legal system as a plaintiff. After this event, Ms. Pokora was determined to attend law school and represent injury victims to bring closure to others as her attorney had brought to her.
Through her work as an attorney in Arizona, Ms. Pokora has represented clients in a wide range of general civil litigation cases, including: personal injury, wrongful death, defamation, sexual assault/harassment, employment discrimination, slip and fall, construction accident, insurance bad faith, uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, etc. in both state and federal court. Ms. Pokora also has experience conducting arbitration and trial proceedings.
Ms. Pokora is admitted to practice law in all Arizona and Minnesota state courts as well as the United States District Court for the District of Arizona.
